To date, LaSalle has secured 3 projects covering approximately 10,000 hectares including the Radisson project acquired through an option agreement and subject to a 2% NSR. Each of these projects can be explored year round and fieldwork including prospecting, geological mapping and geophysical surveys were performed on all the properties. All three projects are drill ready.
Each of the projects acquired to date has been selected for its specific geological and structural footprint and most lie within areas that have received little exploration attention in the past. Our approach to targeting these areas is not restricted to rehashing old occurrences but rather it focuses on defining permissive environments within regionally defined metallotects. The principals have successfully used this approach in the Abitibi (i.e. Lake Shore Gold in Ontario), and in many other countries including Peru, Mexico and China.
LaSalle is a proactive company continuously looking for new opportunities and to improve its portfolio through field campaign and compilation work. Its first property, Radisson (Au-Cu and Ni-Cu-PGE), was the subject of airborne geophysical surveys leading to local mapping and prospecting work over near surface conductors. Copper, gold, nickel and PGE mineralisation was found in multiple locales. First results include 0.18% Cu, 0.3% Ni and 0.22 ppm Pd over 4.5 metres in a channel sample. Grab samples taken on other mineralized outcrops returned values up to 5.3% Cu, 1.15% Ni, 25 g/t Au and 76.8 g/t Ag.
The Selbaie property, located in the Selbaie, Detour and Casa Berardi Mines district hosts a number of interesting gold drill targets established by an Orevision IP ground survey.
